TEAM CORPORATE HEADSHOTS
I do quite a bit of team corporate headshots. My goal for these is always the same. Offer great service and an experience that is easy and fast. Not sure about the creative or how to approach it? No problem, I work with you to to understand your company’s brand and image to, in turn, provide you with portraits or headshots that really show off your team. I take traditional headshots and make them modern. They should look sophisticated and professional. But, also, project a sense of truthfulness and honesty that is effortless and absolutely natural.
Laporte Consultants is a local Engineering firm based out of Burnaby, right on the border with Vancouver, who was looking for clean and bright headshots to include in proposals when bidding on projects. These were also going to be given to their team members for use on LinkedIn. The one challenge was that the entire Laporte Vancouver team (approximately 30 people) is not always in the office at the same time. To top it off, several engineers were not even in the country at the time of the shoot. I made it very easy for scheduling separate sessions on the fly; as return dates were not always clear cut.
Laporte already had a set of headshots created for their offices in different parts of Canada and they required that I match the look that had already been established. Not a problem. My biggest contribution creatively, was to push the idea that the headshots needed to emphasize a sense of trust and ease. These are things a client needs to feel when looking over proposals. To top it off, I always want to ensure my clients do not look posed. So, no unnatural posing like Hollywood red carpet style, hands on hips or crossed arms as you often see these days. Just people who look comfortable being who they are. There is a natural sense of cool that comes with this kind of approach.
